Dianne’s creativity led to her starting a business selling very personalised mementos.

What’s your story?
I am British, currently living in Singapore with my husband and two children. I love quality family time and discovering new places.

What excites you most about your industry?
What excites me the most about what I do is the creative process. Taking images capturing them in silver jewelry. Also the designs for Singapore Charms.

What is your connection to Asia?
My husband’s job in MRT construction brought us to Singapore 20 years ago. We have been in Singapore this time for 16 years. This is where we adopted our children. We have a huge love for Singapore, it has given us so much over the years.

Favourite city in Asia for business and why?
Singapore is of course my favourite city for business. There are so many small business owners here who have started with an idea and made it real. It has a wonderful community feel, where there is so much support and encouragement

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
The best piece of advice I have been given is believe in yourself!

Who inspires you?
So many people inspire me, most of all my children who are learning and growing every single day, a good reminder that we are still learning and growing.

What have you learnt recently that blew you away?
Learning the art of glass etching and where that has taken me with Singapore Charms.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?
Everything in my life has taken me in a positive direction , I am not sure I would do much different.

How do you unwind?
I love to eat out with my family, walking my dogs and a good Netflix binge evening with a G&T.

Favourite Asian destination for relaxation? Why?
I love Thailand, the land of smiles where there are fabulous beaches, food and massages. Phuket ticks all the boxes.
