Louise Corbett’s belief in the power of self-belief drives her to encourage that in others.
What’s your story?
Originally from Australia, I have lived/worked in Italy, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong. After 15 years in the Corporate world, I set up my own business. Through ‘Exceptional Existence’ I work with individuals & organisations in two main areas – Communications & Coaching. From working with corporate leaders & individual entrepreneurs to help them identify their message, build their brand & take themselves out to the world (in a dynamic way) to coaching individuals & corporates on living their very best lives. I am also a certified Intuitive Guide, a Reiki Healer, an Aromatherapist and a Raw Food Chef.
What excites you most about your industry?
In terms of communications there are always new, creative ways to communicate and I love when clients are brave enough to try them with me! I also live off the thrill of people really understanding and experiencing the power of effective, concise and clear communications. I love to take them on this journey.
In terms of coaching, helping people to see their limiting beliefs/thoughts and bring more light/love into their lives by choosing to see their lives differently. There are key techniques that cost nothing, require little time but do need daily discipline. I’ve seen lives transform with these techniques.
What drives you in business to push beyond what other people consider normal?
My intense LOVE for what I do and the transformation I see almost daily – whether it be through effective communications or coaching across the globe.
I also have an insatiable desire to squeeze the most out of every single day and to help others to truly desire to do the same. Helping individuals to fall in love with their lives and to find out what THEY really love to do gives me so much joy!
I honestly believe that it is because I LOVE what I do that I have been able to grow my business so quickly.
What have been the most useful skills you have learnt and applied in your journey?
* Connection: Getting to know the people I work with on a personal level. We aren’t robots and when you connect with those in your life personally, it is so fulfilling for all involved.
* Self care: This is so incredibly important. I used to be terrible at it but I learnt that when we look after ourselves, we can give so much more to others. I make sure to share this philosophy and what I have learnt with my coaching clients whenever I can. So many find ‘self love’ challenging.
* Pick up the phone and have a conversation.
What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
You can have everything you want in life (just not all at once).
Who inspires you? : My clients that believe in my left field ideas and take the risk to push it through their multi-national organisations (esp if it has never been done before). In my experience, it is the most ‘unknown’ ideas that bring the greatest reward.
What have you learnt recently that blew you away?
I was recently talking my coaching client in India through the challenges she was experiencing during COVID and I asked her, if you were to look back on this time 10 years down the track, how would you like to remember it? In worry, fear and anxiety? Her answer was obviously no. And so I asked her to picture how she would like to remember this time in her life and live THAT life now. This work really resonated with me and many of my other clients. Its something many need to hear at this time.
If you had your time again, what would you do differently?
I wouldn’t worry and I would appreciate the journey more.
How do you unwind?
I meditate (every! single! morning) and do YIN Yoga (in the afternoons/evenings).
What is a major mindset change, belief shift or ‘ah ha’ moment that you’ve experienced in relation to your business?
Be grateful for and celebrate your growth and success. Treat your customers like they are your only customer and over deliver EVER-Y time (which should be easy if you love what you do). Oh and…love what you do!

Shameless plug for your business:
I help individuals & organisations to identify & communicate their message to stakeholders (clients/teams/prospects/management/social circles). When we are able to communicate clearly, we can tell the world who we are/what we want &…the world will listen!
I also coach individuals globally (across their personal & professional lives) to live their best lives. Interestingly I find that no matter where they come from, most of my clients are held back from success/love/ fulfilment by one thing – their own thoughts & limiting beliefs. When you can work with them to shift this, happiness is guaranteed & anything is possible.
