For women who want an ‘excellent’ work life balance, find out how you can be a 24-hour woman…

What’s your story?
After serving in leadership positions in multiple industries, I founded LifeWorkz and created The 24-Hour WomanTM, working with women professionals and entrepreneurs to thrive in their business and live a vibrant, happy and fulfilled life.

Inspired by my CEO who encouraged me to have an excellent life, I relished motherhood  while pursuing a master’s degree and holding down a full-time job. I realized then it was possible for women to succeed in the workplace as well.

Now as an award winning coach and bestselling author, I have worked with 5000 women globally witnessing their transitions to what they define as an excellent life.

What excites you most about your industry?
There are more opportunities now than ever in the personal development and leadership arena in an increasingly complex world. However, the problem is that as the opportunities for women in the corporate and entrepreneurial world increase, so do the demands on their personal and professional lives.

That’s where The 24-Hour Woman comes in as a platform for women’s personal and leadership development. This is an extremely exciting time to be interacting with women across Asia and see their transformation impact their families, workplaces and the next generation.

What’s your connection to Asia?
I’m a true blue Singaporean, although I have worked and lived in different parts of the world. My work has brought me to different parts of Asia, where I truly love experiencing the beauty of it’s diversity.

Favourite city in Asia for business and why?
Singapore for its infrastructure and accessibility to networks of resources online and offline.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
Don’t let your small business make you small minded. This has helped me reach out to collaborate with others, make what seem to be impossible “asks”, and see how the impossible unfolds. My God has a bigger vision for my life than I can ever imagine.

Who inspires you?
Individuals who push the boundaries and inspire others to be more and step into their higher self. I’m blessed to personally know some of the individuals who inspire me most, including Pastor Joseph Prince, Brendon Burchard, Shaa Wasmund, Claire Chiang, and Dr Jennifer Lee. There are also others whom I’ve only read about, like Queen Esther (her story from the bible), Steve Jobs and Chanel.

What have you just learnt recently that blew you away?
Change your brain, change your life. I read Daniel Amen’s work (which is based on 83,000 brain scans), where he shows how this one focused action alone can literally rewire your brain and improve your life dramatically.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?
I would have made my transition from the corporate arena to entrepreneurship much earlier and built strong foundations to be able to springboard that which matters most to me – building sustainable businesses that will take care of my family and bless others (while sharing my message that life truly can be excellent).

How do you unwind?
I love to play with my boys in fixing their lego pieces to create structures or play classical pieces on the piano. I can really feel the tension leave when I have this quality time with them.

Favourite Asian destination for relaxation? Why?
I often take off for short breaks in the Taichung Region in Taipei. I particularly LOVE spending time at the relaxing Lavender Cottage area for a couple of days. There are no cell phones, and no tourists, and it’s a space to refresh and take walks (particularly in the lovely weather between Nov and April) and experience the lovely aroma of the fields and the fresh baked goods of the Cottage café.

Everyone in business should read this book:
I highly recommend The Charge: Activating the 10 Human Drives That Make You Feel Alive, by Brendon Burchard, the founder of High Performance Academy and author of several New York Times #1 bestsellers. He is also one of the top business and motivational trainers in the world. This book completely changes how you think about your life, igniting within you a new internal drive to be more, do more, and give more. It’s an awesome book for anyone in business (or otherwise) who wants to perform at higher levels of joy, engagement, and productivity.

Shameless plug for your business:
I work with women professionals and entrepreneurs to help them thrive in their work and live a vibrant life. As an award winning coach and an international best selling author, I have worked with 5000 women globally over the last 5 years.
In celebration of my brand new book being an international bestseller, I’m giving away a free course (valued @ $147) here called The Way of the 24-Hour Woman: 10 Practical Principles For Living a Happy, Vibrant, and Fulfilled Life

Key Takeaway: High-altitude platform stations (HAPS) are emerging as a new frontier in communications technology, offering a unique blend of accessibility and affordability. Positioned between 4 and 30 miles above Earth, these stations bring telecommunications equipment closer to the surface than satellites, resulting in stronger, higher-capacity signals. Researchers have demonstrated that HAPS could provide high-speed […]
Key Takeaway: Horse domestication remains a mystery, despite its significant impact on human civilization. The Indo-European or “Kurgan hypothesis” suggests that horse domestication began on the steppes of western Asia, specifically among the Yamnaya people. However, recent advances in technology have revealed that the horses from the Botai culture were not the ancestors of today’s […]

Key Takeaway: Quantum tunnelling, a phenomenon from quantum mechanics, has been applied to artificial intelligence (AI) to create a neural network that mimics human perception of optical illusions. This neural network, trained to recognize optical illusions like the Necker cube and Rubin’s vase, exhibits a state of ambiguity, mirroring human ambiguity in perception. This finding […]
Key Takeaway: The British cycling team’s 2008 Beijing Olympics victory was a result of a simple strategy: the pursuit of marginal gains. The team’s coach, Sir Dave Brailsford, believed that success could be achieved by making a series of 1% improvements across every aspect of the cyclists’ gear, stamina, and physical conditioning. This principle, known […]
Key Takeaway: Wine is a popular choice for many cultures, but its value is subjective and influenced by personal taste. Wine reviews, such as the 100-point scale, are rated based on quality relative to similar grape varieties and regions. However, the integrity of these reviews is debated, with some arguing that financial arrangements can influence […]
Key Takeaway: A study examining an ancient underwater avalanche off the coast of Morocco has challenged our understanding of these powerful events and their potential to disrupt global communications and infrastructure. These avalanches, also known as turbidity currents, are difficult to observe and measure, but their impact is undeniable, particularly on the intricate web of […]
Key Takeaway: State intervention in global economics is gaining momentum, particularly since the 2010s, due to financial crises, geopolitical tensions, and the fragility of global supply chains. The relationship between exports and protectionism is complex, as successful industrial and trade policies often blend export promotion with elements of protectionism. South Korea and Taiwan have used […]
