Always good to see people helping others get their fitness and health back!

What’s your story?
I am certified fitness professional from American Council on Exercise. Before I became a full time fitness and health strategist, I worked in the Malaysian Corporate Sector for 17 years as an Information Technology Specialist and therefore I understand what challenges exactly busy people face to lead a healthier life.

The joy of helping people was enormous and I guess that was my calling. This led me to start CosmicFit Fitness in Malaysia to help professionals, students, moms and people from all walks of life to lead a healthier and joyful life. I also conduct corporate fitness programs.

What excites you most about your industry?
It is the intriguing fact on the findings about functional movement on human body and nutrition and how it benefits us to lead an active, mobile and fulfilling life.

Above all, it is the satisfaction you get when you have played a small role to impact one’s life and raised their standard. When a client tells me how they have become leaner, fitter and stronger, I also see their confident and self-esteem raised, and above all, they are happy. This fact proves that I am in the right industry.

What’s your connection to Asia?
That’s very simple. I am born and raised in Malaysia.

Favourite city in Asia for business and why?
Until now, I have only worked and explored Malaysia and I guess my favourite place will still be Malaysia in the future. Most of the time, my group fitness training takes place outdoors. Here, we have beautiful parks that is green year around and beautiful beaches that is accessible throughout the year.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
Well, it is all about us having the freedom of making a choice in life. Practice that freedom, make a choice, and take action and that one simple yet powerful act will show what you are truly capable of.

Who inspires you?
There are few of them. If I were to select only one, it would be fitness professional Craig Ballantyne as I like his holistic approach for leading a good life. He covers all aspects from health, wealth, self-improvement and lifestyle.

What have you just learnt recently that blew you away?
Productivity with simple change in habit. At the time I am writing this, I am into second month where I check my emails and social media only twice in a day and do not spend more than 15 minutes each time. This has raised my productivity to a different level altogether.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?
Absolutely nothing. I believe it all happens for a reason. Today, I am not only a full time fitness professional but a health and fitness strategist. And when I meet busy and “stressed” out professionals – I can really understand what they are going through and I guess I know exactly what I can do to help them because I was there for many years.

How do you unwind?
Reading novels and watching movies.

Favourite Asian destination for relaxation? Why?
Penang. The food is fantastic. And the development of Malaysia have not changed Penang much, it still preserves its originality and brings back lots of memories.

Everyone in business should read this book:
Well, I will say these are not business books – but they are books that have helped me to really do what I am happy doing. It helped me to discover myself and to take action and gain control of my own life. The Success Principals – How to Get From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be by Jack Canfield and Awaken The Giant Within by Anthony Robbins.

Shameless plug for your business:
I am the founder and principal instructor of CosmicFit Fitness in Malaysia. Here, we help people to lead an active and fulfilling life that they deserve. Exercising is only one part. What one need is a strategy, motivation and a realistic plan that can be embraced as a lifestyle. We help people achieve that.

We also conduct corporate health and fitness programs. Corporates who engages our services will be seen as caring employers. Healthier and happier employees are productive employees and the program we provide is also a way for them to unwind. Warning – the program can be addictive.
