Robert Wagner settled in paradise – Thailand…. He is now a VLOGGer on YouTube and flms all over the world!

What’s your story?
In 2015 I had no relationship, I was kicked out of my home after the lease was up and then I lost my job as a financial advisor at a top firm in the USA. I gave my belongings to charity and bought a oneway ticket to Bangkok, Thailand. Now I am a VLOGGer on YouTube.

What excites you most about your industry?
I get to see and live what most only dream of and interact with people from all over the world. I live in paradise.

What’s your connection to Asia?
I had no connection here. I’d heard about the beautiful beaches, women and lifestyle here in Thailand. I just bought a oneway ticket to Thailand and stayed.

Favourite city in Asia for business and why?
Bangkok for business due to it’s development. But for me I can travel and film so I prefer beaches over buildings.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
When it comes to getting a job, do a job that you would do for free.

What have you just learnt recently that blew you away?
People, total strangers, support my work from all over the world. I would have never dreamed of the day I got paid by private individuals from around the globe.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?
I would worry less about what jobs paid the most when looking for work. I always focused on the money. I never enjoyed the work that paid me the most.

How do you unwind?
Friends and conversation over drinks.

Favourite Asian destination for relaxation? Why?
Kamala Beach, Phuket. I can have a whole beach to myself on any given day.

However, the success of these nudges […]
