Clarence Wee cherishes letterforms. He founded his calligraphy studio, Craft Varies in Singapore and hasn’t looked back.

What’s your story?
I am a calligrapher that founded Craft Varies, a studio based in Singapore specialising in calligraphy and handcrafted work, including handwritten invitations, envelopes, sign painting and calligraphic art pieces. Craft Varies works closely with commercial and personal clients to send customised messages to their intended recipients.
I discovered my passion for typography during the course of my education in design when I started to appreciate letterforms. This led to calligraphy. I have since dedicated my time to mastering calligraphy so as to appreciate letterforms in a hands on manner which I believe is worth cherishing.

What excites you most about your industry?
Learning and improving everyday.

What’s your connection to Asia?
I was born and raised in Singapore.
