At a young age Brosnan C. Hoban was always creating, whether it be writing, videos or products. At age 18, Brosnan started his own LLC involving consumer goods called Logos Design LLC, where Brosnan and his father would invent various products for consumers. Brosnan later channeled that creativity to what he was passionate about, which is his Christian Faith and Politics. So Brosnan started recording videos of himself preaching and speaking on current events, then posting them online for the world to see. His social media accounts started to gain a lot of traffic and notoriety. After a few weeks Brosnan’s videos started being shared on big accounts, even some verified accounts, reaching millions of people. After gaining a lot of popularity online, Brosnan wanted to focus on his brand. Brosnan’s brand being Christianity & Politics and helping influence people in a positive manner. In just 8 months’ time Brosnan accumulated over 50,000 followers across his social media platforms. He started creating great relationships with major newspapers, journalists, and other Christians. Brosnan was amazed that so many people were interested in what he had to say. Brosnan realized his thoughts and opinions held a lot of weight and were respected among his peers. After almost a year of being on social media, Brosnan has learned a lot about Brands and Marketing and how important these two things are to be successful. Brosnan speaks to The Asian Entrepreneur today about his journey.

I help people with their faith and share my opinions/thoughts about what is going on in politics/current events.

What led you to your current career?

I felt convicted to help people. The best way I knew how to reach people was through social media. Social Media gave me the ability to reach an audience I wouldn’t normally be able to reach. Once I saw the power of the internet and social media, I knew I was meant to create my brand online and to post original content for the world to see. 

Could you walk us through your process of developing your business?

Of course, it goes as follows:

I discovered a need in the market place.

I studied the industry and gained knowledge from the industry leaders.

I created my brand.

I posted original content that appealed to industry.

I developed relationships with journalists and newspapers.

Through those relationships, gained a lot of exposure via their outlets.

Kept posting content on a daily basis for people to watch or read.

Continued to challenge viewers and listeners with my content.


Did you encounter any particular difficulties in the beginning?

Yes, in this day and age the marketplace (social media) is oversaturated and flooded with content. Early on, it was hard to find my niche and to get my content in front of people’s faces. I didn’t let it discourage me from posting my content though. I overcame it by learning my specific industry and befriending those who were popular in my industry. I asked them for advice and how they became successful. In order to be successful you first have to realize that you can’t do it alone. Ask people for advice and study your industry. Use the knowledge and insight you learned from your superiors, then apply it to your brand or company. If you have the correct mind set and determination, there is no doubt you will be successful.

What is your long term plan?

My long term plan is to build my brand as much as I can and get into channels outside of social media. I don’t want to change what I am doing per se, I just want to be able to reach more people. My goal is challenge peoples way of thinking and to help them grow into the best versions of themselves.

Could you share with us some industry insights?

Well, with Politics it is important to always keep up with what is going on in current events. Try to talk about stories that are slightly provocative and attention grabbing. The Political industry as a whole is moving toward a sensationalized way of portraying events. If you aren’t willing to write or speak about issues that are edgy, then it will be hard to gain traction.

What are some important lessons you’ve learnt about entrepreneurship?

The most important lesson I have ever learned about entrepreneurship/business is that you need to build your personal brand as well as your company brand. Your personal brand will differentiate you from your competitors. If your business fails, your personal brand will help get back on your feet and move onto the next endeavor.

Any tips for achieving success?

Yes, be passionate about what you do and never compromise your values to appease others. If a barrier is put in front of you, don’t give up, figure out a way to climb the wall.
