In your own words what do you do?

Create smiles and opportunities to make money around the world.

What led you to your current business?

After working for Experian for four years, I was left with a difficult choice. Experian decided to move my whole department to Costa Rica; I had the option of taking a severance package or taking an entry level position with a pay cut. When this happened, I had already built my first booth and was working some events here and there. I decided to take the leap and pursue my photo booth business full time and here we are today.

Could you walk us through your process of developing your business?

We built our own photobooth first which evolved into Photo Booth Dallas, our rental company and then we built a manufacturing company, Photo Booth International.

Did you encounter any particular difficulties in the beginning?

Starting a business without any money was difficult. However, we overcame that obstacle by watching instructional videos and using the free resources that we had instead of paying large amounts of money for other resources.

What is your long term plan?

To be the number one company in the Photo Booth Industry. Be the leader in innovative photo booth products all across the world.

Could you share with us some industry insights?

It’s all about presentation.  Something that you may not like- your guests may love, always think about your audience- it’s not about what you like. As long as you make your client number one, you will win every time.

What are some important lessons you’ve learnt about entrepreneurship?

Do what your competitors are not willing to do. Learn how to sell and continue to strive to learn new things. Find a good mentor that you can trust, it will help you go a long way.

Any tips for achieving success?

Work hard in every aspect of your life. You need to be motivated to achieve a goal, for it to become a reality. Take action, Most people have good ideas but never act on it.
