The early death of his mother led Ryan Low to a career in real estate aiming to help people leave the rat race.

What’s your story?

I came from a broken family where my dad left when I was young. My mother struggled with 3 jobs to bring me up and one day her body could not take it any more. She passed on when I was 26. At that point, it made me wonder what is life and how can I help others get out of the rat race.

I joined the real estate industry and I love the career.

I enjoy meeting people and helping them plan their real estate goal and exit the rat race with smart real estate decisions

What excites you most about your industry?

Seeing my clients break out of the rat race.

What is your connection to Asia?
I am based in Singapore.

Favourite city in Asia for business and why?
Singapore, dynamic government, stable economy, great people.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
You just need one right property decision to turn your life around.

Who inspires you?

Elon Musk. He inspired me to just do, not think. The more we think, the more we will be held back by all of our thoughts. So now, if i want to do something, I will do it and tweak it along the way.

What have you just learnt recently that blew you away?

How to buy a property without the money coming out of your own pocket.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?
I will do everything and attempt everything because at the end of the day, we will never know what we are looking for if we just sit on it.

How do you unwind?
Meeting with like-minded people over ice cream.

Favourite Asian destination for relaxation? Why?
Taiwan: food!

Everyone in business should read this book:
Way of the Wolf by Jordan Belfort.
business = sales.
It is smart to learn the foundation of sales because without sales, there will not be any revenue.

Shameless plug for your business:

While real estate agents in Singapore are evolving I have set myself apart by having regular valued content sent to my clients, such as my monthly property newsletters and bank sales lists. I am also starting a blog and setting up a parents community group to give even more value to this group of people.
