Richardo Organises Online Events and Experiences

What’s your story?
I have been running a Social Enterprise Events Agency for the last 12 years. Adrenalin aims to use events as a force for good. Up to 30% of Adrenalin’s employment includes teammates who are wheelchair-bound, former offenders, recovering from mental illness and youth at risk. Adrenalin Events helps clients conceptualise and execute events and campaigns that are commercially successful, and, at the same time, give back to the community.

What excites you most about your industry?
The Covid-19 situation is by far the biggest crisis we have seen. But this has led to a crucial opportunity to offer an expanded array of events, as we continue to innovate by creating new event experiences, online.

What’s your connection to Asia?
I am from Singapore. I am grateful to have the opportunity to connect with businesses in this region, by helping them create profitable and valued events and experiences. With the current crisis, we are embracing more opportunities for people to connect online, which has helped us expand our services to international clients and partners.

Favourite city in Asia for business and why?
Singapore. I can’t think of a better place to put my heart and soul into running a business.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
Even though business can be cut-throat, we must still learn to be kind.

Who inspires you?
My team inspires me every day to move our business forward. Go #teamadrenalin!

What have you just learnt recently that blew you away?
Our team Adrenalin is amazingly effective and innovative, in the midst of a crisis, even though we are physically apart.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?
There is nothing I would do differently. I feel blessed to have followed the path I am on.

How do you unwind?
I enjoy playing football and exercising to unwind.

Favourite Asian destination for relaxation? Why?
Hong Kong. I love the energy and food.

Everyone in business should read this book:
“Winning,” by Jack Welch.
