Lenney Leong has used his diverse business background to create a company providing breakthrough results through unconventional storytelling.

What’s your story?
My name is Lenney Leong, I am a serial entrepreneur who has started multiple businesses from a cooking school, to a physiotherapy clinic and I now have a marketing agency called Get Customers.

I have also been featured on AsiaONE, MoneyFM 89.3, Forbes, Entrepreneur.com and many media publications.

Digital marketing and content creation is my passion and I have been featured in Nas Daily videos and work to create more useful content.

I have also spoken alongside Gary Vaynerchuk, Brian Tracy and many well known speakers through a virtual summit I organized back in April called Unstoppable Summit where we had over 3,000+ participants from Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and other countries.

I have also helped over 100+ different businesses locally and overseas to establish their branding and marketing.

I am known for creating viral videos, one of which was shot in LESS than a day and has had 7,200,000 views and up to 48,000 shares.

In Singapore, I have also been engaged to speak at universities such as Singapore University of Social Sciences and Singapore Management University.

What excites you most about your industry?
What excites me the MOST is how fast this industry is going and how it is changing every single day.

COVID-19 has transformed the industry, and the digital era is ever changing. All the way from content creation, branding, digital ads and much more.

What I foresee is that the whole world will be more digitized in the next 10-20 years. And I want to be PART OF IT!

What is your connection to Asia?
I love Singapore. I love Asian culture and especially FOOD!

Food brings people together, although this is out of topic but it is really important for me to highlight as I have been to Europe and the US. Nothing compares to the food in Asia, maybe I am a bit biased but that could explain how and why I’m so grounded in Asia.

Favourite city in Asia for business and why?
Singapore of course.

This is my home country and I will always stay here and love my country, as I think this place is also an economic hub to the rest of the world.

Asia is evolving and will be bigger in the years to come especially in the digital era.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
“Play the long-term game.” – Gary Vaynerchuk

So many people overlook this and always go for the short term game.

For me, I prefer to go long and forever.

Who inspires you?

Gary Vaynerchuk who says that the process matters more than the outcome itself. I massively respect him for saying this and influencing me on this matter.

What have you just learnt recently that blew you away?
I learnt that not everything in life is about money. Ethics are much more important and go a long way.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?
I would do the same. I have no regrets in life as I know that what happened before was a lesson to teach me and made me who I am today.

How do you unwind?
I do weights, I go for a massage but most importantly I spend time with my dog.

Favourite Asian destination for relaxation? Why?
I like Indonesia. Great food and scenery!

Key Takeaway: High-altitude platform stations (HAPS) are emerging as a new frontier in communications technology, offering a unique blend of accessibility and affordability. Positioned between 4 and 30 miles above Earth, these stations bring telecommunications equipment closer to the surface than satellites, resulting in stronger, higher-capacity signals. Researchers have demonstrated that HAPS could provide high-speed […]
Key Takeaway: Horse domestication remains a mystery, despite its significant impact on human civilization. The Indo-European or “Kurgan hypothesis” suggests that horse domestication began on the steppes of western Asia, specifically among the Yamnaya people. However, recent advances in technology have revealed that the horses from the Botai culture were not the ancestors of today’s […]

Key Takeaway: Quantum tunnelling, a phenomenon from quantum mechanics, has been applied to artificial intelligence (AI) to create a neural network that mimics human perception of optical illusions. This neural network, trained to recognize optical illusions like the Necker cube and Rubin’s vase, exhibits a state of ambiguity, mirroring human ambiguity in perception. This finding […]
Key Takeaway: The British cycling team’s 2008 Beijing Olympics victory was a result of a simple strategy: the pursuit of marginal gains. The team’s coach, Sir Dave Brailsford, believed that success could be achieved by making a series of 1% improvements across every aspect of the cyclists’ gear, stamina, and physical conditioning. This principle, known […]
Key Takeaway: Wine is a popular choice for many cultures, but its value is subjective and influenced by personal taste. Wine reviews, such as the 100-point scale, are rated based on quality relative to similar grape varieties and regions. However, the integrity of these reviews is debated, with some arguing that financial arrangements can influence […]
Key Takeaway: A study examining an ancient underwater avalanche off the coast of Morocco has challenged our understanding of these powerful events and their potential to disrupt global communications and infrastructure. These avalanches, also known as turbidity currents, are difficult to observe and measure, but their impact is undeniable, particularly on the intricate web of […]
Key Takeaway: State intervention in global economics is gaining momentum, particularly since the 2010s, due to financial crises, geopolitical tensions, and the fragility of global supply chains. The relationship between exports and protectionism is complex, as successful industrial and trade policies often blend export promotion with elements of protectionism. South Korea and Taiwan have used […]
